Archova is a global design firm that began with a singular focus — to draw people together around the things they love, through experiences that capture all the senses, amplifying the atmosphere of excitement and pure joy shared in human moments.
Archova began in 2009 with three people and one commission: a narrow house on a difficult slope in Alfama. Poor access, a protected facade, and a budget that allowed no waste. Those constraints taught us more than any brief since, and they set the working method we still use.

We are twenty-four now, working from a converted warehouse in Marvila across residential, hospitality and adaptive reuse. The studio is deliberately flat. Whoever draws a detail is the one who visits the site while it is being built, and the one who answers for it afterwards.

Every project opens with a season of looking — light, access, neighbours, weather. The plan follows what the site already knows.
Built to be lived in
We detail for the twentieth year, not the opening photograph. Materials are chosen to weather honestly and to be repaired simply.
